Leif’s bedroom Before… There are feature designers for each session, as well as many guest participants (like myself) who join in each week. It’s a 8-week long challenge in which decorators, designers, and homeowners pick a space in their home to completely update. If you’re not familiar with the One Room Challenge (hereafter I’ll call it the ORC), I’ll bring you up-to-date. Here is my original before post for this project. Welcome back to my One Room Challenge – the final reveal! If you’ve been following along the last several weeks then you know that I’ve been working on tackling the first big makeover project of our new build house adding character to our oldest son’s bedroom. All that means is I make a small amount if you click and buy that item, but it doesn’t cost you a penny more to purchase anything. From the wallpaper and paint, to the furnishing and layout changes, it turned out better than I had even hoped it would! To underscore the applicability of our tool, we tested a wide range of gene sets including large-scale GWASs, tissue-specific gene expression data released by GTEx Consortium ( GTEx Consortium et al., 2017), and a somatic mutation catalog of various cancers by COSMIC Consortium ( Forbes et al., 2017).įirst, as an illustrative example, we applied GREP to the risk genes identified by a recent multi-ancestry genome-wide association meta-analysis of stroke by MEGASTROKE consortium ( Malik et al., 2018). The benchmarking shows that the standard GREP analysis takes 1.71 s on MacBook Pro (2.4 GHz, Intel Core i7) using a single CPU. ![]() GREP is implemented as a python module and runs all the analysis in a few seconds on Linux or Mac OS environment. We note that our implementation to identify pharmacologically associated drug indication classes or anatomical classes from the flexible gene set is the novel feature when compared with the previous gene-drug-disease databases (as in Koscielny et al., 2017). Our method is novel in that (i) users can input a gene set of any origin, and (ii) the drugs in the database are organized by their clinical indications, so as to grasp the whole picture of the pharmacological enrichment. Further, GREP outputs the names of the drugs targeting the gene set, which are thus considered to have an association with the basis on which the gene set was selected. Using a text file of genes as a user input together with these pre-formatted databases, the GREP software automatically performs a series of Fisher’s exact tests to examine whether the gene set is enriched in genes targeted by drugs in a clinical indication category to treat a certain disease or condition. Each circle represents an enrichment P value of the drug indication category by ICD10 (c) Comparative enrichment analysis of oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes by GREP. The inset shows the approved drugs targeting the gene set and their current indications. ![]() (b) Enrichment analysis of stroke-risk suggestive genes by GREP. TTD, Therapeutic Target Database ATC, Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical Classification ICD10, International Classification of Diseases 10. (a) Schematic presentation of GREP software. The overview of GREP and its application to GWAS and cancer somatic mutations. ![]() GREP also unraveled new insights into the biology of the tissue-specific gene expression and the genetic landscape of cancers. By applying GREP to a large-scale GWAS of stroke, a gene expression analysis on human tissues, and somatic mutations in cancers, we show that genes implicated in the GWAS were robustly enriched in the indicated medications for the trait of interest. Here we introduce a software GREP ( Genome for REPositioning drugs), which (i) quantifies an enrichment of the user-defined set of genes in the target of clinical indication categories and (ii) captures potentially repositionable drugs targeting the gene set. Repositioning known drugs to another indication is an effective way to bring them to bedside, because their efficacy and potential adverse effects have already been investigated for the current indication. Given the fact that more than half of clinical trials fail because of lack of efficacy or adverse events ( Nelson et al., 2015), the method to discover new therapeutics with the guidance of genomics should be warranted ( Malik et al., 2018 Okada et al., 2014). After the fruitful decades of genome-wide association studies (GWASs) identifying thousands of loci robustly associated with human complex traits ( Welter et al., 2014), we are now heading to the next step to apply in silico genetic knowledge for clinical practice. ![]() While the product page states that customers can receive a full refund for any reason, some customer reviews mentioned that they were informed the product was ineligible for return when they tried to request a refund. So, regardless of how things appear, she hasn’t forgotten that,” Taylor says, adding that Dana is her last hope and she won’t let Wheatley destroy her, too. ![]() That said, Angela hasn’t also forgotten the fact that Wheatley is responsible for the death of their eldest son, Rafiq, and the fact that their youngest, Richie, is behind bars. We’ll be surprised what she’s going to do this season in order to survive.” She adds, “So, as diabolical as it appears, I think it’s just survival. Not only is she healthy - but she also knows where Dana is and warns her daughter to lay low for a while. But as soon as the two cops leave, Angela reveals that she’s been putting on an act this entire time. But it’s not until later, in the Organized Crime episode, that the real shocker is revealed.Īfter trying to figure out who framed Stabler’s son, Eli (Nicky Torchia), for murder, the investigation leads them back to Wheatley, who admits that his daughter, Dana (Christina Marie Karis), may have something to do with it.Īnd in the process of tracking Dana down, Bell and Stabler encounter Angela, who still appears shaken and claims to not know who her daughter is or the last time she’s seen her. NBCĭespite this, Wheatley is granted a mistrial and finds himself free again - at least for now. “Even though the relationship came to a screeching halt, and even though I think both of them would like to not feel what they feel, every time they’re around each other there’s this sort of this bizarre, undeniable tension,” she continues. When asked about Angela’s feelings for him, Taylor says that “for whatever reason, these two human beings connected through grief and just have this odd connection.” “She’s facing some memory issues,” Taylor says, admitting that it made her “iffy when it comes to being a credible witness.”Īnd in the end, she crumbles on the stand and admits - to the surprise of everyone in court - that she's still in love with Stabler. While Stabler loses his cool, it’s Angela who had everyone worried leading up to her testimony, given her inability to recall certain names and facts during trial prep. In the SVU episode, ADA Carisi (Peter Scanavino) attempted to put Wheatley away once and for all as he puts everyone, including Stabler, Olivia Benson ( Mariska Hargitay ), Ayanna Bell ( Danielle Moné Truitt ), and Richard’s son, Richie (Nick Creegan), on the stand. ![]() You can set up geofences around places like school or home and get alerts when your child enters or leaves those areas. ![]() While this method can be helpful, it requires that the person share his location via message or WhatsApp. Information about the tracked topic is sent to Google, which then uses this information in conjunction with Google maps data to tell you where your loved ones are at any given time. The third type of real-time location tracking relies on Google maps sharing information about the whereabouts and position of a subject being tracked. This form of real-time location tracking has been dramatically enhanced in recent years because mobile phone providers are now offering this service. The information is then sent to a server that can determine the issue's location based on cell towers and cellular signals. This form of monitoring uses the mobile network provider's infrastructure to determine the whereabouts and location of a subject. This type of real-time location tracking is accurate and does not rely on mobile phone numbers.Īnother form of real-time location tracking uses mobile phone numbers instead of GPS. Businesses use this tracking type to keep track of their vehicles, but parents can also use it to keep track of their children or pets. The most common real-time location tracking is done with a GPS. It includes tracking with live GPS, mobile phone numbers, and Google maps. There are different types of real-time location tracking. You can try to save a some money by doing the job yourself, but if you are inexperienced with such repairs, then it is best to leave it to a professional, or maybe seek some help from a friend or family member with some solid wrenching experience under their belt. Always be mindful of the symptoms and signs of a failing pump, so you can avoid significant harm to your car’s steering system.Ī bad power steering pump is not the most expensive auto repair, but it is not the cheapest either. Although, that does not mean that a younger model won’t experience unexpected failure or problems. However, much of that longevity has to do with maintaining a proper maintenance schedule.īecause steering pumps last so long, any repair work is usually found in used vehicles, especially because of how many car owners lease. A pump typically lasts up to 100,000 miles or better before experiencing any significant issues. ![]() Most vehicle components have an expected lifespan, and power steering pumps are no different. Its founder and academic director have ties to other virtual charter schools with questionable track records. What’s unclear is whether the school can live up to its lofty promises, or end up serving as another illustration of how Indiana’s charter school law fails to adequately regulate virtual schools.Īlready, Indiana Agriculture and Technology School has hurdles to overcome. Sutherlin and his team are laying these ambitious plans at a time when virtual charter schools across the country are growing rapidly and facing criticism for failing to serve students. Sutherlin, a long-time political operative, says he wants to fundamentally change how Hoosier students learn about agriculture, starting with the perhaps counterintuitive idea of using a farm as the physical outpost of the online Indiana Agriculture and Technology School, set to open in July. But when founder Allan Sutherlin looks out over the land, he sees that and more. Six hundred acres of mostly dormant farmland, ponds, and forest in southern Indiana hardly seem like they would be the centerpiece of the state’s newest virtual charter school.
